Felix Saquinaula Obituary, Death – Danbury police have identified the pedestrian who tragically died after being struck by a vehicle on Christmas Eve. On Monday, December 30, the victim was named as 52-year-old Felix Saquinaula. Police reported that he was rushed to a hospital with severe, life-threatening injuries following the crash, but unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries.
The incident occurred around 9:18 p.m. on December 24, near the intersection of Main and Liberty streets. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Saquinaula lying in the road near the sidewalk. A motor vehicle with front-end damage was located nearby, with the driver still present at the scene.
The driver cooperated with authorities during the investigation, and police confirmed that they remained on the scene after the crash. Liberty Street was closed for several hours to allow emergency crews to respond and manage the situation.
