The incident took place on Seward Avenue just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, with authorities identifying the deceased as 26-year-old Tyreek Moore.
Upon arrival, officers found Moore with a gunshot wound to his back and a 24-year-old man suffering from head injuries, including pain and bruising. Both victims were transported to NYC Health and Hospitals Jacobi for treatment. Moore was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, while the 24-year-old man is currently in stable condition. Police reported that the 24-year-old had been struck on the side of his head with a gun.
Investigators say that during the robbery, the assailants managed to steal a wallet and a cellphone. Police are now searching for three men, all wearing black clothing, and a woman dressed in all gray, who are believed to be responsible for the crime.
