Kasey Ramthun Obituary, Death: Teen killed in Wood County two-vehicle crash
Kasey Ramthun Obituary, Death – A teenager tragically lost his life following a two-vehicle crash in Wood County on December 13, 2024. The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. on U.S. Highway 10 at the intersection with County Highway P in the Town of Auburndale.
According to a statement from the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, the investigation revealed that a car carrying two occupants was heading north across U.S. Highway 10. Unfortunately, the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by an SUV traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 10.
Both drivers involved in the crash were transported to Marshfield Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening. However, the passenger in the car, 17-year-old Kasey Ramthun from Vesper, Wisconsin, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
