Davonta Lamar McCloud Obituary, Death – A fatal shooting early Saturday claimed the life of a 30-year-old Augusta man and left another individual injured, according to authorities.
The Richmond County Coroner identified the deceased as Davonta Lamar McCloud, a resident of the 1900 block of Higdon Street, where the incident occurred. McCloud was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:07 a.m., Coroner Mark Bowen reported.
A second victim, 31-year-old Omar Ikea Andrews, sustained gunshot wounds but survived. He was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office stated.
