Danny Ponce Vargas Obituary, Death – A motorcyclist who died in a collision involving a pickup truck and a car in Menifee was identified in a coroner’s report released Tuesday. The fatal accident occurred shortly after 4 a.m. on Monday at the intersection of Highway 74 and Menifee Road.
According to a spokesperson for the Menifee Police Department, the motorcyclist, 28-year-old Danny Ponce Vargas from Hemet, was involved in two separate collisions in quick succession. The first collision occurred with a sedan, followed by a second collision with a pickup truck. Police spokesperson Chase Coburn clarified that impairment was not a factor in the crash.
Paramedics from the Riverside County Fire Department arrived at the scene within minutes but were unable to save Ponce Vargas. He was pronounced dead on the scene, with the coroner’s report indicating he succumbed to his injuries within about 30 minutes of the crash.
The drivers of the sedan and pickup truck were not injured in the incident. Their identities were not made public, but they were questioned by police officers. No arrests were made, and it was noted that neither driver faced any charges related to the incident.
