The driver of one vehicle, 48-year-old Adam Stevenson from Astoria, Illinois, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was confirmed by Fulton County Coroner Austin Rhodes. Stevenson’s death was a result of a collision that occurred when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 21-year-old individual, was transported to McDonough District Hospital for medical treatment. The extent of the injuries has not been disclosed.
