Robert Rocha, Cristobal Flores Obituary, Death – Two people were killed and a third person hospitalized following a crash involving a luxury sports car on Monday afternoon in Dallas. The incident occurred just after 3 p.m. in the 8500 block of Abrams Road, according to Dallas police. The crash involved two vehicles, one of which was a McLaren supercar.
Footage from CBS News Texas Chopper captured the scene, showing a damaged sedan and a McLaren split in half. Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) reported that one of the vehicles struck a tree, leading to the fatalities of the two passengers inside. Fire crews had to respond with heavy rescue equipment to access the victims, as they were trapped in the vehicle. The Dallas County Medical Examiner identified the two victims as Robert Rocha, 31, and Cristobal Flores, 29.
In addition to the fatalities, another person from the second vehicle involved in the crash was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries. However, the extent of these injuries and the identity of the person were not disclosed, nor was it revealed which vehicle Rocha and Flores were in at the time of the crash.
At this stage, the cause of the crash remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing. McLaren sports cars, known for their high speed, were involved in the incident, with some models capable of reaching speeds of up to 186 mph in just under 13 seconds. The McLaren 570S, which appears to have been the model involved in the crash, has a starting price of around $195,000, according to Car and Driver. The combination of the McLaren’s speed and the circumstances of the crash are being closely investigated as authorities work to determine what led to this tragic accident.
