Zachary Brooks Obituary, Death – A fatal crash in Lebanon County claimed the life of a motorcyclist on the afternoon of Friday, July 18. The Millcreek Township Police Department reported that the collision occurred just before 4 p.m. at the intersection of Stricklerstown Road and Rod and Gun Road. The accident involved an SUV and a motorcycle.

According to authorities, the SUV was heading east on Stricklerstown Road and attempted to make a left turn onto Rod and Gun Road. At the same time, a motorcycle traveling westbound on Stricklerstown Road collided with the passenger side of the SUV during the turn.

Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene and provided treatment to the motorcyclist before transporting him to the hospital for further care. Due to the severity of the crash and the motorcyclist’s critical condition, the Pennsylvania State Police Accident Reconstruction Team was called in to investigate the scene more thoroughly.

Later that day, the Berks County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the motorcyclist, identified as 40-year-old Zachary Brooks from Robesonia, had died from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the SUV was not harmed in the incident.

Emergency response to the scene involved multiple agencies, including the Newmanstown Ambulance Association, Myerstown Ambulance, First Aid and Safety of Lebanon, as well as several fire departments—Newmanstown, Richland Neptune, Womelsdorf, and Schoeneck. Fire police from Newmanstown, Richland, and Womelsdorf also assisted in managing the scene, along with the PSP Reconstruction Team.

Authorities have not yet determined the full details of the crash and say the investigation is ongoing. Police are seeking any individuals who may have witnessed the collision. Witnesses are encouraged to contact Sergeant Katzaman of the Millcreek Township Police Department with any relevant information.

This tragic incident highlights the dangers that can arise at intersections, particularly when vehicles are making turns and motorcyclists are involved. The loss of Zachary Brooks has impacted the local community of Robesonia, and officials are working to gather all necessary facts surrounding the crash.
