The campaign describes Zach as a loving father to his children, Zai and Jett, as well as a cherished family member and friend. He was known for being a kind, honorable individual who had a positive impact on those around him.
The fatal shooting occurred at approximately 2 a.m. at the Tropics Lounge, located near 25th and Broadway. According to the Wichita Police Department (WPD), Miller suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and lower body, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The police reported that a disturbance had occurred in the patio area of the bar prior to the shooting, and the suspect fired three shots at Miller, prompting bar patrons to flee the scene.
While the WPD has identified the shooter, they have not released the suspect’s name. The individual was taken into custody, questioned, and then released, as the case is still being reviewed by the district attorney.
