Wyatt Carleton Death News: Andover teen, 17, discovered dead in a truck submerged in a drainage ditch.
Wyatt Carleton Death News – A tragic incident occurred in Andover when a teenage driver was found dead after the pickup truck he was driving was discovered submerged in water, as reported by local authorities. The New Hampshire State Police identified the deceased as 17-year-old Wyatt Carleton.
The vehicle, a 2010 Gray Nissan Frontier, was located overturned and submerged in a drainage ditch along Currier Road. The authorities were alerted to the accident at approximately 11:53 p.m. on Sunday.
According to a preliminary investigation, it appears that Carleton was driving west on Currier Road when, for reasons still under investigation, the truck veered off the road to the left while crossing over a culvert. The vehicle then flipped over the road’s edge and landed upside down in the drainage ditch.
Investigators believe that the icy conditions of the road may have caused the vehicle to drift a few hundred feet before ultimately veering off into the ditch. The accident resulted in the road being closed for about three hours while authorities responded to the scene.
The New Hampshire State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. They encourage anyone with additional information to reach out to Trooper Conor Davis via email at Conor.K.Davis@dos.nh.gov.
