Victor L. Boatright Obituary, Death – A 70-year-old man from Hanceville, Alabama, tragically passed away on Monday, three days after sustaining serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Cullman County. Alabama State Troopers identified the victim as Victor L. Boatright, who was critically injured in the incident.
The crash occurred at 5:06 a.m. on Friday, January 24, on U.S. 31, near Cullman County 486, which is about one mile south of the city of Cullman. According to Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey, Boatright was driving a Jeep Liberty when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway. The Jeep struck a culvert and subsequently overturned.
Following the crash, emergency responders airlifted Boatright to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for treatment. Despite medical efforts, Boatright succumbed to his injuries and passed away on Monday, January 27.
This fatal crash remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers as they work to determine the factors contributing to the wreck.
