Vickie Smith – Virginia State Police have identified the victim of a fatal fire that occurred on January 9 in Augusta County. The blaze broke out just before midnight at a building located at 1477 Guthrie Road, an address associated with Mountain Creek Stables. The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation, and authorities have not yet released any further details.

According to the Virginia State Police, three individuals were inside the building when the fire started, but only two managed to escape.
