Uriah Sloan Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified the teenager who was fatally shot in a California neighborhood on Friday evening. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office confirmed that 17-year-old Uriah Sloan succumbed to gunshot wounds.
The incident occurred in the 2200 block of Osage Avenue, where officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) responded to reports of a shooting around 6:40 p.m. on Friday. When officers arrived, they found Sloan suffering from gunshot injuries. He was quickly transported to UofL Hospital for treatment.
Initially, Sloan’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. However, in an update provided on Saturday afternoon, police confirmed that he had died from his wounds. He was officially pronounced dead shortly after 4 a.m.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation as authorities work to determine what led to the shooting and identify any potential suspects. At this time, no further details have been released regarding a possible motive or arrests.
