Tyieshia McDowell Obituary, Death – A woman who was shot at a gas station in St. Louis has died from her injuries, authorities have confirmed. The incident occurred on July 31 at a Gulf gas station located in the 5700 block of Natural Bridge Avenue in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood.
Police officers responded to the scene around 9 p.m. and found the victim, later identified as 47-year-old Tyieshia McDowell, inside her vehicle in the station’s parking lot. She had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
McDowell was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment, where she remained in critical condition. Unfortunately, she passed away two days later on August 2 due to the severity of her injuries.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) has taken over the case and launched a homicide investigation. Detectives are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting and are currently gathering evidence and pursuing leads.
