Tony Horne Obituary, Death – A man from Augusta has been arrested in connection with a suspected double homicide early Wednesday morning on Mystic Lane in Augusta. According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Tony Horne of Augusta was taken into custody at the scene and later booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center.

Around 2:30 a.m., deputies from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting incident on the 3000 block of Mystic Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered a man and a woman who had both been shot at least once inside their home. Both victims were declared dead at the scene.

The Richmond County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the incident is being treated as a double homicide. At the time of the release, the sheriff’s office had not yet made the full incident report available, and the investigation remains ongoing.

An autopsy has been scheduled, and the identities of the victims will be released once their next of kin have been notified. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic deaths.
