Tionte Eddings Obituary, Death: Authorities identify passenger killed in South Riverside crash
Tionte Eddings Obituary, Death – A 28-year-old man who was fatally injured in a high-speed crash in Riverside has been identified as Tionte Eddings, a Riverside resident. The accident occurred just after 6 p.m. on Tuesday on Sycamore Canyon Boulevard, near Cottonwood Avenue in a warehouse district close to Interstate 215.
According to Riverside Police Sgt. Emilio Angulo, Eddings was the front-seat passenger in a 2017 Nissan 370Z driven by a 29-year-old man from Moreno Valley. The driver, traveling southbound, reportedly lost control of the car while speeding, leading to a collision with a tree.
Emergency responders from the Riverside Fire Department arrived quickly and found both Eddings and the driver trapped in the vehicle. After extricating them, Eddings was rushed to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The driver, who sustained minor injuries, received treatment at the same facility.
Riverside Police’s Major Accident Investigation Team is examining the accident’s circumstances, though it’s unclear at this point if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. Investigators have asked anyone with information to contact them at 951-826-8720.
