Tauron D. Brown, Jr Obituary, Death – The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office reported that charges are pending against a suspect involved in a fatal shooting in the area on November 5, 2024. The victim, Tauron D. Brown Jr., a resident of South Boston, was found deceased at the scene.
Deputies responded to a shooting call around 7 a.m. on Tuesday, November 5, at 1382 Old Quarry Road in Ringgold. Upon arrival, they discovered Brown with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The body was later transported to the Medical Examiners Office for the Western District of Virginia, where the official cause and manner of death will be determined.
Sheriff’s investigators have reassured the public that there is no further threat to the community in connection with the incident. As of now, the suspect’s name has not been released, and authorities are continuing to gather details to understand the nature of the relationship between the victim and the suspect.
