Sylvio Victor Obituary, Death: Victim identified, 5-year-old critically injured in Murfreesboro crash.

Sylvio Victor Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified the victim in a fatal car accident that occurred on Monday in Murfreesboro, which also left a 5-year-old child in critical condition.

According to the Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD), 35-year-old Sylvio Victor of Antioch died at the scene of the crash on Middle Tennessee Boulevard, between Park Avenue and Haley Road. Victor was a passenger in a Mazda MZ6, which also carried the injured child. Firefighters had to extricate the young victim from the vehicle before transporting them to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The female driver of the Mazda also sustained injuries and was taken to the same hospital for treatment. The driver of the other vehicle involved, a Nissan Rogue, was transported to Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the crash occurred when the Nissan Rogue, traveling westbound, collided with the Mazda as it attempted to make a left turn. Authorities are examining whether excessive speed played a role in the collision.

The force of the impact was severe enough to push the Mazda into a parked car in a nearby lot. MPD officials stated that the investigation remains ongoing to determine the exact cause and contributing factors of the crash.

The tragic incident has left the community shaken. Authorities continue to seek answers and urge anyone with information to come forward as they work toward a comprehensive understanding of the events leading up to the collision.
