Sara Wetzstein Obituary, Death – A woman who was fatally struck by a sedan in Sacramento County on Wednesday night has been identified by authorities.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) confirmed that the victim was 48-year-old Sara M. Wetzstein of Carmichael.

According to CHP, the crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. near the 4900 block of Marconi Avenue. Investigators say Wetzstein was crossing the street when a sedan traveling in the same direction struck her.

The vehicle was driven by a woman in her 60s. Emergency responders transported Wetzstein to a hospital with severe injuries, but she later succumbed to her injuries.

Authorities have not released further details about the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
