Pursuit Begins with Stolen Vehicle Alert
The incident started around 2:45 a.m. when a license plate reader flagged a vehicle as stolen in West Chester. Police attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver refused to stop, sparking a chase that spanned multiple counties. During the pursuit, officers observed multiple individuals fleeing from the suspect vehicle.

Fatal Encounter on the Interstate
A Lockland police officer confronted Mumyarutete, who was reportedly holding something in his hands. Officials stated that the suspect refused to obey the officer’s commands, prompting an attempt to subdue him with a taser. However, the taser was ineffective, and Mumyarutete continued to resist.
