Parker Ward Bolenbaugh Obituary, Death; Man who died in 6-story fall in Sacramento has been identified.

Parker Ward Bolenbaugh Obituary, Death – A man who died after falling from a sixth-floor balcony in Sacramento early Sunday morning has been identified as 39-year-old Parker Ward Bolenbaugh of Citrus Heights, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say the incident began around 2:30 a.m. when Bolenbaugh allegedly broke into a commercial building located at 1750 Howe Avenue. The property is connected to the employment agency SearchPros. During the break-in, Bolenbaugh reportedly caused significant damage—estimated at over \$100,000—inside the facility. He is also said to have triggered the building’s fire alarm system and forced his way onto a sixth-floor balcony.
Shortly after reaching the balcony, Bolenbaugh climbed over the railing and fell to the ground. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and attempted CPR. He was transported to a hospital but ultimately died from his injuries.
According to Sgt. Amar Gandhi, spokesperson for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, Bolenbaugh had been acting erratically and made unsettling remarks during the incident. “He made some kind of concerning statements like, ‘What are you going to do? Kill me?’” Gandhi said. “So we don’t know if it was a mental health crisis or if he was under the influence of something.” Gandhi further noted that, while Bolenbaugh caused considerable destruction inside the building, there was no indication he was attempting to steal anything.
The employment agency SearchPros confirmed that Bolenbaugh had no affiliation with their organization. A company representative expressed condolences regarding the fatal incident and emphasized their appreciation for emergency responders. “We are first and foremost saddened about the loss of life,” the statement said. “The burglary suspect is not affiliated with SearchPros. We’d like to thank the police and fire departments for their work in managing this incident.”
The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District was the first to arrive on the scene shortly after the internal alarm went off at 2:30 a.m. Law enforcement deputies reportedly arrived by 3 a.m. to assist in the emergency response.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident to determine the full circumstances that led to Bolenbaugh’s actions and subsequent fall. They are also working to assess whether substances, mental health concerns, or other factors may have contributed to his behavior.
Anyone with further information related to this case is encouraged to contact the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office as they continue their investigation into the matter.
