Robert Mendez Obituary, Death – A deadly car crash in Tinton Falls on Sunday night has claimed the life of a 25-year-old man, according to local police. The Tinton Falls Police Department reported that the crash occurred around 11 p.m. on Shafto Road, just north of West Park Avenue. Officers were dispatched to the scene in response to a single-vehicle collision.
Upon arrival, police discovered a white 2014 Volkswagen Jetta that had veered off the right side of the road and collided with several trees. The driver, identified as Robert Mendez of Oceanport, was found inside the vehicle. Authorities confirmed that Mendez was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.
No passengers were reported in the car, and no other vehicles were involved in the incident. The circumstances that led to the crash are still under investigation. Police have not yet determined what caused Mendez to lose control of the vehicle or whether speed, road conditions, or any other factors contributed to the accident.
