Richard Cisneros Obituary, Death – The Lubbock Police Department has identified the motorcyclist killed in a fatal crash on Thursday evening as 37-year-old Richard Cisneros. The tragic incident took place on April 3rd in North Lubbock.
According to the Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit, officers responded to the scene at 8:07 p.m. at the intersection of 4th Street and Slide Road after receiving reports of a motorcycle crash with injuries. Upon arriving, authorities found Cisneros suffering from severe injuries. He was promptly transported by ambulance to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Initial investigations revealed that Cisneros was riding his motorcycle south on Slide Road when an SUV, driven by 38-year-old Amanda Salazar, made a turn from a parking lot heading north. The motorcycle collided with the SUV during the turn. No other injuries were reported from the crash, and the investigation is still ongoing, with no arrests made at this point.
The Lubbock Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
