Remedee Jennings-Leaphart Obituary, Death – A shooting in Monetta, South Carolina, has left a 21-year-old man dead. Authorities responded to the incident on the evening of Thursday, January 23rd, after the Aiken County Coroner’s Office was called to investigate the death of Remedee Jennings-Leaphart, a Batesburg-Leesville resident.
The shooting occurred around 6:45 p.m. in the 100 block of Pine Circle, and Jennings-Leaphart was initially taken to his mother’s home in Batesburg-Leesville. His family then drove him to a nearby medical clinic where Lexington County EMS responded and transported him to Lexington Medical Center. Unfortunately, Jennings-Leaphart was pronounced dead at the hospital at 8:35 p.m. from a gunshot wound.
The victim’s body is scheduled for an autopsy in Newberry, and the investigation is ongoing. Both the Aiken County Coroner’s Office and the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office are involved in the inquiry to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities are continuing their search for answers as they work to piece together the events leading up to this tragedy.
