Raymond Seeley, Deana Seeley Obituary, Death – A Thanksgiving Day crash in Dubuque County resulted in two fatalities and left another person injured. The incident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 28, when a 2023 Subaru was traveling westbound on Skyline Road. According to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol, investigators believe the driver of the Subaru failed to stop at a stop sign and did not yield the right of way at the intersection with U.S. Highway 151.

As the Subaru entered the intersection, it collided with a 2021 Peterbilt semi-truck that was traveling northbound on Highway 151. The impact caused the Subaru to veer off the road and crash into a ditch on the east side of the highway.

The driver of the Subaru, identified as 64-year-old Raymond Seeley from Sterling, Illinois, was declared dead at the scene. His passenger, 62-year-old Deana Seeley, also from Sterling, was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to her injuries. Both victims were residents of Sterling, Illinois.

The driver of the semi-truck, who was also injured in the crash, was taken to a nearby hospital. However, their identity and the extent of their injuries have not been released to the public.

The Iowa State Patrol is continuing its investigation into the cause of the crash, but the identities of those involved have not been disclosed. Authorities are working to gather more details and determine the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
