Rayanna Lynne Diaz Obituary, Death – A woman who died following a two-vehicle crash in Rosemont on Sunday evening has been identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office as 28-year-old Rayanna Lynne Diaz of Sacramento.

The collision occurred around 6 p.m. at the intersection of South Watt Avenue and Kiefer Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash involved two vehicles — a Lexus and an Infiniti. Diaz was behind the wheel of the Infiniti, while a man was driving the Lexus.

Authorities said that the crash happened after one of the drivers ran a red light at the intersection, though it remained unclear as of Monday morning which vehicle was at fault. The investigation is still ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the violation.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported Diaz to a hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after.

CHP officials reported that two passengers were in the Infiniti with Diaz at the time of the crash — a man and a juvenile. The male passenger sustained moderate injuries, while the juvenile was said to have only minor injuries. Both were treated following the incident.

The driver of the Lexus was reportedly unharmed in the crash.

Investigators are still working to determine whether alcohol or drug use contributed to the collision. No arrests or citations have been reported as of now.

The case remains under active investigation as officials continue to gather evidence and statements from those involved.
