Philip Bugger Obituary, Death – A man was killed in a crash on Saturday night after his motorcycle veered off the road, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP). The incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. as the motorcyclist and a passenger were heading north on US-21, roughly two miles south of Pine Ridge. The motorcycle ran off the right side of the roadway, striking several construction barrels and a road sign, as reported by SCHP.

The motorcyclist, 49-year-old Philip Bugger from Gaston, South Carolina, died at the scene. The passenger was transported to Prisma Health for treatment of their injuries. Authorities have not released any details about the passenger’s identity.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher confirmed that Bugger was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The SCHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
