Paul Schweizer Obituary, Death: Driver killed in crash involving vehicle fire identified
Paul Schweizer Obituary, Death – The Carbon County Coroner’s Office has identified the driver who tragically died in a crash that involved a vehicle fire. According to the coroner’s office, the incident occurred on Wednesday night, around 9:35 p.m., in Penn Forest Township, along the Pennsylvania Turnpike at mile marker 83.2.
Investigators reported that the driver, Paul Schweizer, 68, from Harveys Lake, collided with a tractor-trailer, causing his vehicle to catch fire. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but unfortunately, Schweizer was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death was determined to be thermal burns and smoke inhalation, as a result of the fire following the crash.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation by authorities.
