Paris Anton Powe Obituary, Death – Police have identified the victim of a recent Kalamazoo shooting as 34-year-old Paris Anton Powe. The incident took place on Monday, Nov. 4, at approximately 10:25 p.m. on Egleston Avenue. Powe was found in a vehicle with a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, a 40-year-old man, sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) reported that prior to the shooting, Powe, the injured man, and an unknown suspect were together at another location. They later traveled to the Egleston Avenue area in a Chevrolet Trailblazer, where the shooting occurred.
KDPS investigators are actively working on leads in the case. Authorities have urged anyone with information to contact the KDPS Criminal Investigations Division or submit an anonymous tip via the Kalamazoo Silent Observer tip line, the “P3Tips” app, or the Silent Observer website.
