Newport News police are conducting an investigation into a fatal crash involving a bicyclist. Officers were dispatched around 6:15 a.m. to the area of Harpersville Road and Jefferson Avenue following reports of a collision between a vehicle and a man on a bicycle. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Currently, police have not released any suspect information related to the incident.
The NPD Crash Investigation team is actively investigating the cause and circumstances of the crash.
