Miles Jonathan Moore Obituary, Death: Man dies in hit-and-run on Richmond Highway in Woodbridge
Miles Jonathan Moore Obituary, Death – A fatal hit-and-run incident in Woodbridge on Thursday night has left a local man dead, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Authorities identified the victim as 53-year-old Miles Jonathan Moore of Woodbridge. Officers responded to reports around 9:03 p.m. of a man lying in the roadway near Richmond Highway and Easy Street.
After an initial investigation, police determined that Moore had been struck by a 2012 Toyota Highlander traveling southbound on Richmond Highway while he was crossing the street outside of a designated crosswalk. Moments later, a second vehicle, also heading south, hit Moore again.
The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and was uninjured. However, the second driver did not stop, and police are actively searching for them.
Moore was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities are asking for witnesses or anyone with information regarding the crash to come forward as the investigation continues.
