Megan Peterkin Obituary, Death  – The Clark County Medical Examiner has officially identified the woman who died in an apartment fire that occurred in early May in Vancouver. Authorities confirmed that the victim was 38-year-old Megan Peterkin, a resident of Vancouver.

The fatal fire broke out in the early morning hours of May 2 at a three-story apartment complex located on East 5th Street. When firefighters arrived at the scene, the fire had already spread significantly, prompting a second alarm response to bring in additional personnel and resources. Fire crews were able to contain and extinguish the blaze within approximately 30 minutes.

During the emergency response, firefighters discovered Peterkin inside the building. Unfortunately, she was already deceased by the time they reached her. On July 31, the medical examiner released findings confirming that Peterkin died from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries. Her death has been officially classified as accidental.

The fire had a significant impact on residents, displacing around 20 people from the building. As of now, no new details have been released regarding the cause of the fire, and fire officials have not provided any updates on their investigation.
