Marissa Anne Montecalvo – The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) has released the identity of the woman who tragically lost her life in a car accident on Memorial Parkway on Monday morning. The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Marissa Anne Montecalvo, a resident of Huntsville.
The accident occurred around 8:49 a.m. in the southbound lane of Memorial Parkway at Mastin Lake Road. Emergency services, including HEMSI (Huntsville Emergency Medical Services, Inc.), responded to the scene. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, Montecalvo succumbed to her injuries sustained in the wreck.
In addition to Montecalvo, two children were also involved in the accident. HEMSI spokesperson Don Webster confirmed that the injured children were transported to Huntsville Hospital Women and Children for treatment. Fortunately, both children were reported to be in stable condition as of Monday.
The Huntsville Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident. No further details about the cause of the crash have been released at this time.
