Maria Domitila Nolasco Martinez, Jose Rodrigo Yanes Barahona Obituary, Death:  – A tragic train accident in Roanoke claimed the lives of an elderly woman and a young boy on Sunday, March 9.

According to Roanoke Police, the incident occurred near the 700 block of Drew Avenue NE. Authorities reported that both victims were unable to move out of the train’s path in time, resulting in the fatal collision.

The victims have been identified as 69-year-old Maria Domitila Nolasco Martinez and 9-year-old Jose Rodrigo Yanes Barahona, both residents of Roanoke.

Police have not released further details about the circumstances leading to the accident, and the investigation is ongoing.
