According to Delaware State Police, the driver of the northbound vehicle was an 80-year-old man, who was hospitalized following the crash. The two individuals in the southbound vehicle, a 20-year-old driver from Kennett Square and his 21-year-old male passenger, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Delaware State Police Troop Two Collision Reconstruction Unit has launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
