Kylie Rae Campbell Obituary, Death – A tragic head-on collision on Highway 228 in Linn County claimed the life of a Sweet Home woman Tuesday morning, according to Oregon State Police.

Authorities responded to the crash, which occurred near milepost 10, and determined that a Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 40-year-old Natosha Lynn Wells of Albany, was traveling eastbound when it veered across the centerline. The vehicle then collided head-on with a westbound Chevrolet Trax driven by 37-year-old Kylie Rae Campbell of Sweet Home.

Campbell sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Wells survived the crash with reportedly minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The accident caused significant traffic disruptions, with Highway 228 partially closed for approximately three hours while authorities conducted their investigation. Officials have not yet determined the exact cause of the crash, and the Oregon State Police continue to investigate.

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) assisted at the scene, helping to manage traffic and support emergency responders.
