Chawgo, a 60-year-old resident of Frisco, Texas, was driving eastbound on State Highway 177 when his vehicle crossed the center line. As a result, his car collided head-on with another vehicle traveling westbound, driven by 64-year-old Robert N. Mackey of Coleman, Oklahoma.
The impact of the collision was severe. Chawgo succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while Mackey sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Texas. Despite emergency medical efforts, he later died from his injuries.
