Katiza Binti Mohamed-Sayad Obituary, Death: 25-Year-Old Identified as Victim in Fort Wayne Shooting
Katiza Binti Mohamed-Sayad Obituary, Death – Authorities in Allen County have released the identity of a woman who was fatally shot last Friday, confirming that her death was a homicide. The Allen County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 25-year-old Katiza Binti Mohamed-Sayad.
The shooting occurred Friday morning in the 3000 block of Drexel Avenue, an area near Oxford Street and Wayne Trace/Hessen Cassel Road. Police responded to reports of gunfire and discovered Mohamed-Sayad suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead.
Shortly after the shooting, officers arrested 22-year-old Jaskaran Singh in connection with the crime. He has since been charged with murder.
The coroner’s official report ruled Mohamed-Sayad’s death a homicide, confirming that she died as a result of the gunshot wound.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
