Kate Connally Obituary, Death – An 18-year-old woman from Frisco lost her life in a head-on crash on Saturday afternoon along State Highway 90 in Grimes County, just south of County Road 115.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported that the incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. when a 2023 Mazda CX-5, heading southbound, attempted to pass slower traffic by moving into the northbound lane. While doing so, the Mazda collided head-on with a 2020 Jeep Wrangler traveling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Mazda, identified as Kate Connally, died at the scene as a result of the collision.
The driver and passenger of the Jeep sustained serious injuries. Both were transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan for emergency treatment.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
