Kameron Martin Obituary, Death – An 18-year-old man fatally shot late Sunday night in south Shreveport has been identified as Kameron Martin, according to the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office. The incident occurred outside his apartment in the 8900 block of Brookwood Drive in the South Park neighborhood.
Shreveport Police responded to the scene around 11:20 p.m., where Martin was found with life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was transported to Willis-Knighton South hospital but succumbed to his injuries at 12:10 a.m. Monday. Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The tragic incident brings the total number of homicides in Caddo Parish to 50 for the year 2024, with 47 of those occurring within Shreveport city limits. Martin’s death highlights ongoing concerns about violence in the community. An autopsy has been ordered to aid in the investigation.
