Joshua Kent, Darryl R. Smith Obituary, Death – The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has released the identities of two victims involved in separate homicides in Reno. The first victim, 22-year-old Joshua Kent, was shot in the head near Pickett Park on October 17 and later died on October 19 at Renown Regional Medical Center.

Kent is believed to have been homeless. The second victim, 43-year-old Darryl R. Smith, was shot near West Second Street on October 20 and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigations into both incidents are ongoing, and authorities believe the cases are unrelated.
