Jose Torres Obituary, Death – Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of Spring Branch ISD Police Department dispatcher Jose Torres, who was found dead at his home on Friday afternoon. Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies responded to the 12000 block of Mallard Stream Court around 4 p.m. following a report of an “unknown medical emergency.” Upon arrival, they discovered Torres, 37, had been shot.
Family members reported that Torres had planned to pick up his wife and children from school but failed to arrive. They secured a ride home from another relative, only to find Torres deceased. Investigators believe he was working in his yard when he was approached by someone and fatally shot.
Authorities also noted that property was missing from the residence. No suspects have been identified as of now, and HCSO detectives are reviewing security footage from neighboring homes for potential leads.
