Jonathan Wallace, Donta Manuel Obituary, Death – Two Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies were killed, and a third was critically injured in a tragic crash near Loxahatchee, confirmed the sheriff’s office on Thursday. The incident occurred along Southern Boulevard, approximately one mile west of Seminole Pratt Whitney Road. The sheriff’s office did not immediately release the identities of the deputies or provide detailed information about the crash.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to the scene, transporting at least one of the deputies to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach. The deputies were reportedly riding department-issued motorcycles when they were struck by another vehicle. Aerial footage from WPTV NewsChannel 5 showed the aftermath, with three damaged motorcycles on the ground and an SUV that had collided with a guardrail. The sheriff’s office has scheduled a news conference for 4 p.m. at their headquarters in West Palm Beach to provide further updates.

As a result of the crash, Southern Boulevard was closed in both directions while authorities conducted an investigation into the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to be released at the scheduled press briefing.

This fatal crash occurred nearly 17 years to the day after a similar tragedy that claimed the lives of two Palm Beach County deputies, Jonathan Wallace and Donta Manuel. On November 28, 2007, Wallace and Manuel were killed while attempting to stop a speeding driver in The Glades. They had deployed tire deflation devices to stop a suspected car thief when the accident occurred on State Road 715 near the Pahokee airport.
