Jonathan Gohring Obituary, Death – A tragic incident occurred in Perry County on Tuesday evening, resulting in the death of a 15-year-old boy. According to Lieutenant Michael Akers from the Ohio Highway Patrol in Lancaster, the crash took place around 6:50 p.m. near Milepost 15 on Ohio 13. The young boy was driving a 2022 Honda Rancher ATV when it was struck by a 2021 Ford F-150 truck. The truck was being driven by Jonathan Gohring, a 36-year-old resident of Malta.
As reported by Akers, Gohring was driving the Ford F-150 on Ohio 13 when he attempted to overtake another vehicle. During this maneuver, Gohring veered into the opposite lane, colliding with the ATV. The force of the impact was severe, and the 15-year-old boy was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Despite the seriousness of the crash, Gohring sustained only minor injuries.
The incident is still under investigation, and authorities are working to determine the full details of the crash. The Ohio Highway Patrol, along with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and emergency services from New Lexington Fire Department and New Lex Emergency Medical Services, responded to the scene to assist with the aftermath of the crash.
