Jonathan Braun, Dylan Clay Davis Obituary, Death News: Three victims identified in Tennessee small plane crash.

Jonathan Braun, Dylan Clay Davis Obituary, Death News – Three individuals who lost their lives in a small plane crash on Saturday morning have been identified, according to Dean Selby, Director of the Upper Cumberland Regional Airport.
The victims were pilot Jonathan Braun and passengers Dylan Clay Davis and Kelsie Lynn Davis, a married couple from Alabama. The fatal crash occurred just before noon in White County, Tennessee.
Selby explained that a witness had seen the aircraft going down and quickly called 911 to report the incident. However, locating the wreckage was challenging and took some time. To aid the search efforts, one of the airport’s pilots took to the skies to look for the downed plane from the air. It was this aerial search that eventually led to the identification of the crash site.
Rescue teams discovered the wreckage in a field off Almyra Road. Emergency crews promptly responded to the scene, but all three occupants of the aircraft were pronounced dead.
Selby reflected on the rarity of such incidents, noting that the Upper Cumberland Regional Airport handles a significant amount of daily air traffic — anywhere from 90 to as many as 300 operations on busy days. Despite this high volume, Selby said this was the first fatal accident connected to the airport in over 15 or 16 years.
At this time, the exact cause of the crash has not been determined. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) launched their official investigations on Sunday to gather more information and determine the circumstances that led to the tragedy.
The investigation process typically involves inspecting the wreckage, analyzing the plane’s maintenance history, and reviewing weather conditions at the time of the crash, among other factors. The NTSB is expected to release a preliminary report within a few weeks, though a full report detailing the cause could take much longer.
Officials have not released additional details about the flight’s origin, destination, or what may have caused the aircraft to go down so suddenly. For now, the community mourns the loss of three lives and awaits answers from federal investigators.
