Joel Tijerina Jr Obituary, Death – In the early hours of Monday, November 4th, a fatal accident occurred in Odessa, Texas, involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. According to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the incident took place around 1:16 a.m. on West University Avenue. The driver, 54-year-old Lori Lee Carbery from Odessa, was heading westbound in the inside lane when she struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road.
The pedestrian, identified as 51-year-old Joel Tijerina Jr., reportedly failed to yield the right of way before he was hit. Odessa EMS arrived at the scene and declared Tijerina deceased. Currently, DPS is still investigating the crash, and additional details are not yet available. Officials noted that it’s unclear if Tijerina’s family has been informed of his death.
