The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on August 31, when deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting in the area of 9300 West 900 South. Upon arrival, authorities discovered three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

The first victim was identified as 22-year-old Jesus Cuadras Garcia, who had sustained critical injuries. Despite medical efforts, Garcia passed away on September 4, several days after the shooting. A second adult male was found at the scene with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He was transported for medical treatment and is expected to survive. A third victim, a 5-year-old girl, suffered injuries to her leg and hip caused by gunfire. She also remains in recovery.

Following a joint investigation conducted by the Weber/Morgan Homicide Task Force and detectives from the Ogden Police Department, authorities announced the arrest of 18-year-old Michael Gaisbaur Jr. of Perry City. He was booked into the Weber County Correctional Facility on multiple charges, including aggravated murder, eight counts of felony discharge of a firearm, and obstruction of justice.

In addition, detectives arrested 19-year-old Mckinzi Sundquist of South Ogden. She has been charged with one count of obstruction of justice and was also booked into the Weber County Correctional Facility. Officials have not disclosed her specific role in the case but confirmed her involvement in connection with the ongoing investigation.

Authorities stressed that the investigation remains active, with detectives working to piece together the full circumstances that led to the shooting. They are continuing to interview witnesses, analyze evidence, and reconstruct the events of that night.
