Jerimiah Patterson, McKenna Patterson Obituary, Death – Authorities have released the names of two individuals who died in a car crash in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula earlier this week.
According to WLUC-TV, the victims were identified as Jerimiah James Patterson and McKenna Marion Patterson, both from Flat Rock. The fatal crash occurred around 5:57 p.m. on Monday in Marquette County’s Tilden Township.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and reported that Jerimiah was driving when the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree. Both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the crash, County Roads 581 and 482 were temporarily closed for investigation but have since reopened. Deputies believe that speed and possibly alcohol played a role in the accident, though the investigation remains ongoing.
Several emergency agencies assisted at the scene, including the Ishpeming Township Fire Department, UPHS EMS, Ishpeming Police Department, Michigan State Police, and Rescue 131.
