Jaylen Deshawn Boston Obituary, Death – The Asheville Police Department has confirmed the identities of the two victims involved in a tragic double homicide at Pisgah View Apartments on December 16. The victims have been identified as 28-year-old Jaylen Deshawn Boston and a 16-year-old juvenile, whose name has not been disclosed by authorities.

According to a press release issued on December 17, police were called to Cordova Street around 3:19 p.m. on December 16 to investigate reports of gunshots. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found two individuals in the main living area of an apartment. One of the victims was immediately given CPR, but despite efforts to revive him, he was declared dead at the scene. The second victim was also pronounced dead shortly after.

In response to the incident, detectives and forensic technicians were dispatched to the location to begin their investigation. They are collaborating with the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the exact circumstances that led to the deaths. The police have not yet released further details on how the shooting occurred or any potential motives.

This tragic incident marks the 12th and 13th homicides of 2024 that the Asheville Police Department is currently investigating. The department has emphasized that the case remains under investigation and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
