Jayesth Paul Obituary, Death; Victim named in deadly Dubuque County semi-truck crash
Jayesth Paul Obituary, Death – The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim of a fatal semi-truck crash that occurred Monday evening. At around 6:10 p.m., deputies responded to a call about a vehicle accident with injuries on southbound Highway 61.
An investigation revealed that the semi-truck driver had stopped on the side of the highway to secure his load. While the semi was stationary, another southbound vehicle collided with the back of the semi trailer and struck the semi driver.
The driver of the semi was identified as 26-year-old Jayesth Paul from Canada. Tragically, Paul died as a result of the collision.
The driver of the other vehicle involved was taken to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
